Third Pershing GTX116 unit launched.

Elegance and performance: the key features of the third Pershing GTX116 unit.
All in the spirit of the brand’s strong, sporty character.

The new Pershing model continues to be a huge success and on January 17, the third unit was launched in the port of Fano. With a powerfully sporty character and superlative liveability, this yacht is bursting with innovation and excitement and revolutionises the cruising experience, taking it into a new dimension. This yacht christened “BYEEE...” was built for a European owner and great fan of Ferretti Group boats, so much so that this is his second purchase.
The third Pershing GTX116 unit is the result of collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Group’s Engineering Department, confirming her sporty heritage while enhancing the concept of comfort by providing plenty of open-air space and areas designed to provide even more direct contact with the water. A unique yacht with a hull over 35 metres in length and 7.70 metres in the beam.

The sleek, streamlined silhouette points up the brand’s sporty personality and references luxury SUV automotive imagery, strongly identifying the new Pershing GTX116 as an SUY – Sport Utility Yacht. This third unit is elegant and sophisticated at first glance. The exterior of the superstructure and sundeck area are classic Pershing grey, while the hull, the forward and aft sunpad areas and the winch feature a special metallic anthracite colour – a more innovative darker shade than the units launched previously – and the lateral terrace and hard top feature an elegant dark grey. The final exterior feature is the extensive glazing, which floods the interiors with natural light and creates an intimate interplay between interior and exterior.

The main deck is home to the spacious saloon, in which sophisticated furnishings amplify the setting by creating as much space as possible. The room’s layout features a large dining table with a leather top and a frame clad in dark brown upholstery. The saddlé caffé colour Poltrona Frau sofa pairs perfectly with the pale beige and grey shades used for the decor. As was the case on the first unit, here too the owner has decided not to open up a direct passageway between the living space and the galley, keeping the two areas separate. The taupe oak parquet floor by Listone Giordano pairs perfectly with the elegance of the rest of the interior design and gives the setting a warm feel. The galley is fitted with a fridge and freezer for supplies. The colour palette is maintained in this setting too, creating continuity with the saloon by choosing shades such as titanium and grey for the cupboard doors.

Moving into the cockpit, we find a large teak table and an extending, adjustable-height table that uses the bench for seating, and aft of them a large sunpad on the same level. While on the level below, in a space separated from the cockpit, the beach area and its comfy sunloungers create the ideal setting in which to spend relaxing moments in increasingly seamless contact with the water. In the yacht’s bow area are a generous sunpad, two removable tables and a small bar area with two fridges. This new feature replaces the 6-person Jacuzzi proposed by the shipyard and chosen for the first and second units.

Finally, the lower deck contains three guest cabins in a space that is also home to the master cabin, which features a Poltrona Frau double bed with a crow black bed head and slate colour finishings. The decor, which contrasts dark and pale colour shades, is paired with the desk, the side cabinets, the bedside tables and the taupe-coloured bed head in a clear reference to the colour palette chosen for this third unit. The master bathroom is another design exercise in pursuit of space and absolute comfort. The framework is a setting containing three interior areas, with two entrances, two regular showers and a central waterfall shower. The aluminium herringbone mosaic by Metalborder creates an even more luxurious feel in a space that perfectly combines technology and elegance.

The garage can contain a jet ski and two water toys, while the exclusive 39-square-meter beach club has a teak deck protected by an electro-hydraulic taffrail that opens up to connect the beach area with the swim platform, creating a huge space at the water’s edge.
The 40-square-meter sundeck, reached from the stern area via two outdoor stairways on either side of the yacht, features modern furnishings with modular sofas designed by Minotti. This convivial but refined layout is designed to provide generous spaces in which to fully enjoy life on board.

The third Pershing GTX116 unit is equipped with a triple water jet propulsion system, which can be paired with three MAN V12 2000 engines each rated 2,000 mhp (optional) for a top speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots. The standard engines are three MAN V12 1800 units rated 1,800 mhp.
